Mildred "Queen Bee" Terry, age 99, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 18, 1926 in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Eldon and Ruth Doyle.
Mildred graduated from Fayette County High School in Somerville, Tennessee. After high school graduation she attended beauty school and worked for Bemis Bag Company and retired from Holiday Inn Corporation. She married Harry W. Terry and they had two children: Harry "Skeeter" Terry and Rebecca "Becky" Terry.
Mildred and Harry were active in the Methodist Church attending Longview Methodist, Longstreet Methodist, and Mildred attended Bartlett Methodist. They enjoyed flying to Memphis Tigers football games and attended Memphis Tigers baseball games the four years "Skeeter' played for the TIgers. They also enjoyed camping with their camping club friends and traveling to South Texas and Florida in the winter.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Becky Terry Evans (Sam) of Bartlett,Tennessee; her sisters, Peggy Kross Bennett ( Ladd), Pat Remley Sisson (Ed) of Franklin, Tennessee; brotherPerry Doyle (Linda) of Warner Robbins, Georgia; grandchildren, April Tinnin Chapman (Phil) of Huntsville, Al, Jason Tinnin (Steffany) of St. Louis, Missouri, Chase Tinnin (Allie) of Lakeland, Tennessee, and Drew Terry (Christy) of Alys Beach, Florida. She also leaves behind seven great- grandchildren; Grayson and Garrison Chapman, Carter and Skylar Tinnin, and Edwin, Walker, and George Tinnin as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Ruth Doyle, her husband, Harry Terry; her son "Skeeter" Terry; and brothers, Millard Doyle and Melvin Doyle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and The Alzheimer's Association.
