Michael DeWayne Smith, 54 of Oakland, TN, went on to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 4, 2016. Michael was a sound engineer for Calvary Church of the Nazarene and loved making home movies with his family. He never met a stranger and was totally in love with every child God has created. Michael is survived by his children Holly Smith, Christopher Smith (Rachel), Amber Brown (Hunter), Brandon Smith, and Shelbie Smith. He also leaves his parents Calvin and Patsy Smith, one sister Michelle Sanders (Johnny), two grandsons Kyler and Dalton Brown, his nephew Bryce Sanders, and his close extended family Nancy Miller and Tosha Smith. The family will receive friends from 9am until service time at 10am, on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Epilepsy Foundation or a charity for children with disabilities.
