Mary Ann Holt

She was born to the late Ernest L. and Viola Stanifer on January 28, 1929 in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James L. Holt, Sr.; and her siblings, Jim Ed Stanifer, Lynn Stanifer, Billy Stanifer, and Sadie Stone.

She was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church and a school teacher for many years.

Mary is survived by her children, James L. Holt, Jr. (Alissa), Nancy A. Foster (Tim); grandchildren, Nick Foster (Leslie), Mindy Alford (Grant), Ashley Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Avery Foster, Claire Foster, Foster Alford, and Sadie Alford.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital in Mary’s honor.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, May 24 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will be at 11:00am on Sunday, May 26 at Fairview Cemetery, 1106 Nell Street, Tazewell, TN.
