Mary "Teeny" Austin

Mary “Teeny” Austin, 88, of Memphis, TN, passed away on March 5, 2021. She was retired from Wonder Bread/Hostess Cake. After her retirement, she volunteered for Saint Francis Hospital on Park, where she received the Volunteer of the Year award in 2012. She was an avid Memphis Tigers Fan, and in her younger days, enjoyed bowling and dancing—from ballet to jitterbug.

Teeny was preceded in death by husband Arthur “Art” Austin, her parents, James Heston Tothacer and Mary Catherine Tothacer, and her sister, Ann Heston Armstrong. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Adamson and husband Mike, her brother, James “Jimmy” Tothacer, one niece, Jennifer Ann Nooner, one nephew, Michael Wayne Riddle, a close cousin, Jay Tothacer, and one step-grandson, Zachary Adamson.

The family will receive friends from 1pm with a service to follow at 2pm on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
