Mary Elizabeth Agnew

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and known for her love of antiques and was noted for her appraisals. Mary served as a schoolteacher for many years in Shelby County and raised her 8 children in her Memphis home.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Michael Agnew and daughter Ann Marie Myers.

She leaves behind three daughters, Theresa Agnew, Mary Regina Agnew, and Clare Adkins (Eddie); She also leaves behind four sons, Paul Agnew (Mary), Philip Agnew (Carol), Mark Agnew (Norma), and John Agnew Jr. (Michele); As well as fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 4180 Leroy Ave. Saturday December 29, at 10AM, with interment at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Parkway, Bartlett TN.

The family prefers memorial gifts be made to St. James Catholic Church or the American Heart Association.
