Marjorie Lawler of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully at 12:45 AM on Sunday April 15, 2018 at the age of 84. Born June 16, 1933 to John Heiderscheid and Stella Bray, Marge was raised in Jerseyville, Illinois, moved to Memphis in 1958 and quickly adopted the River City as her home town. While she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment was the raising of three boys that turned into fine men, Marge was also an award-winning quilt artist. She was a long-time member of the Cotton Patchers Quilt Guild. She leaves many examples of her skill and dedication with friends and relatives lucky enough to possess one of her quilts. Her smiling face and outgoing personality will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.
She is survived by her three sons, Mike, Pat, and Greg; 6 grandchildren; Chase, Jason, Brad, Brooke, Tyler, and Amanda; and 9 great grandchildren; Hank, Theo, Vince, Roxy, Cooper, Luke, Betty, Emily, and Caroline. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18 at 1:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. Visitation will be an hour prior followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM and a committal service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donation in her name to Youth Villages
