Marilyn lived a wonderfully Christian life full of love for God and his word. She donated her time to her church while in Memphis as a tour guide at Bellevue Baptist Church and as a witness at her church near Englewood, Florida. She volunteered time at Baptist and St. Francis hospitals and experienced great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, children she babysat and children she taught in Sunday School. She was always filled with love, joy, happiness and faith. She also loved Disney Princesses and Disney World.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lynn Robinson and Lillian Irene Hodge Robinson; brothers and sisters, William Irving Simpson, Jerry Franklin Robinson, John Russell Simpson, John Winfield Robinson, Betty Jo Robinson Cox, Thomas Roy Robinson, Aubery Daniel Robinson, Thelma Louise Simpson King.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Glenn Graves; sister, Sherry Rebecca Robinson Castellaw (Barney); children, Sylvia Teresa Walker Pratt (John), Shelley Denise Graves Young (Bill), William Oswald Graves (Cecelia), Travis Glenn Graves (Beth); grandchildren, Travis Kent Graves (Sydney), Lauren Marie Graves Miller (James), Kimberly Adcock, Russell Graves, Justus Franklin Walker (Megan), Sarah Young, Jonathan Young, Keelie Lachlund Graves, Kaydi Briar Graves, Trooper Glenn Graves, Bear Woodland Graves and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 9 am until 10 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, burial will follow in Memorial Gardens.
