Margaret was born on November 16th, 1941 in Bolivar, TN. She spent most of her career in the grocery business, retiring from the Kroger distribution center in 2008 after 17 years of service.
Above all, she was a devout Christian and dedicated mother to her three children. They always came first in her life and she was a wonderful provider, mentor, and friend to each of them.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, word games, and her favorite TV shows, all while enjoying a cup of black coffee and a cigarette, of course.
To her parents and siblings growing up, she was known as "Sis". To her children, she was "Mom". To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (and many other people), she was "Memaw". To her coworkers, she was "Miss Margaret", or even "Pendy" at one time. But no matter what name you knew her by, if you had the privilege of knowing her, you were blessed.
Margaret is survived by her three children, Carla (Pat), Cindy (Jeff), and Brandon (Joyce), as well as nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends
A visitation for Margaret will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Whitten Memorial Baptist Church, 6773 Macon Rd, Memphis, TN 38134, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
