He was born on April 11, 1960 to James & Betty Sims in Memphis, TN. He worked as an accomplished taxidermist most of his life. Mark enjoyed going to the family’s land in Sardis, MS where they spent countless weekends and summers. He enjoyed fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He adored his beagle, Henry, who was always by his side.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Regina Sims, his son Marcus Sims Jr. (Jorja), his daughter Jenny Sims, his grandchildren Reece & Scarlett, his brother Randy Sims, & his mother Betty Sims.
He was preceded in death by his father James Sims and father-in-law Coy Mauney.
Please join us in honoring the life of Mark on January 27th, 2024 at Memphis Funeral Home at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. Visitation will be at 1 pm with a funeral following at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations in Mark’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
