Luke Yadua Hernandez

Luke Yadua Hernandez, two year old son of Luis A. and Joy (Gray) Hernandez, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home. Luke was a typical and loving two year old. He loved playing at the playground, eating kiwi fruit and got a big kick out of calling people on the telephone. Along with his parents, Luke is survived by a brother, Judah Benazaa Hernandez; maternal grandparents, Stuart and Dottie Gray, all of Bartlett, TN; paternal grandfather, Venancio Hernandez of Oaxaca, Mexico; an aunt, Hope Gray and an uncle, J.D. Gray both of Bartlett. Luke was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Reyna Martinez. The family would like to say a special “thank you” to Terri Wood, with Methodist Alliance Hospice (Koala Kids) for the love and care she showed for Luke and his family. Private family services were held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. with interment in Memorial Gardens. IN lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are requested for the Ronald McDonald House in Jacksonville, FL or Methodist Alliance Hospice (Koala Kids).
