Lorene M. Watson

Lorene M. Watson, 85, of Bartlett, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015. She was a longtime member of Ellendale Church of Christ and a former member of Airways Church of Christ. In her early career, Mrs. Watson worked for the Sam Shainberg Department Store as a buyer at the main store, then she worked with the Western District of the U.S. Marshall’s Office as the Sr. Administrative Assistant and retired from there in 1995. Mrs. Watson, the widow of Thomas N. Watson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ira Lewis and Kim J. Watson of Bartlett; sister, Marie Parnell of Newbern, TN; two grand-children, Christopher Lewis Watson and Crystal LeAnna Watson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Geraldine Bobo. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, evening August 19 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 20 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to the Children’s Home in Paragould, AR.
