Lloyd George Harless, 78, passed away January 28, 2021. He was a twenty-five year veteran of the United States Army. Upon his retirement from the Army he served as a mail carrier for 20 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Carla Harless; parents, Frederick Harless and Anne Harless-Brumfield; sister, Sue Caran and brothers, Harry Harless and Gene Harless.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Welch and Kathern Harless; son, Steven Harless (Jennifer); grandchildren, Robert, Ellen, Elizabeth, Meredith and Andrew and brothers, Bobby Brumfield, David Brumfield and Lee Brumfield.
Inurnment services will be held on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mr. Harless may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Memphis Humane Society.
