Larry Gene Coleman, age 79, passed peacefully on May 02,2023. He was born on Sept 14, 1943 in Alamo, TN to Bernice and Alice Gretchen Coleman. And he was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Bobby Coleman. Larry was a loving and caring man which he incorporated that into being a good husband and a great father. He met his wife Geraldine while working in Brownsville, Tn. They fell in love and were married, this June 30th they would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Larry and Geraldine decided to start their lives together after they were married together in Bartlett, Tn. Larry began working for Kimberly Clark after moving to Bartlett, Tn. He worked for Kimberly Clark 28 years up until he was severely injured causing him to become 100% disabled for the rest of his life. Larry had one child which he always wanted a daughter and got. So in November of 1977 he was blessed with Felicia Gayle Coleman. Felicia resides in Oakland, Tn with Larry’s two Grand Dogs he was crazy about Linus and Olivier. Larry had one more family member that meant the world to him. His Little Buddy or Second Daughter Issabelle (aka Izz) a little black chihuahua she was his partner in crime. Larry enjoyed life as much as possible traveling when he could and seeing new things, camping, fishing, and of course football (Go Dawgs!).
Larry is survived by his wife Geraldine, his daughter Felicia, one brother George Carol Coleman (Cledia) of Bartlett,Tn. ,his Little Buddy Issabelle (Izz),and Two Grand Dogs Olivier and Linus.
A memorial service for Larry will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133
