John Calvin Wilson

John Calvin Wilson, 85, of Bartlett, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2013 a few weeks before his 86th birthday. He was loved and cherished by those who called him husband, daddy, granddaddy, uncle, brother and friend. He was loving, funny, hardworking and dependable. He was married to the love of his life who he is survived by, Cornelia “Connie” Wilson for the past 62 years. He retired from Kimberly Clark after 37 years. He was a member of Bartlett Hills Baptist Church. He also proudly served in the US. Army. He was a native of Mississippi and one of eight boys. He is also survived by his daughter, Karen Cardosi, granddaughter Caitlin Cardosi, brothers Lin (Kathleen), Travis (Joyce), Dee and Ralph (Jane) Wilson, sister-in-law Christine Thompson, and many nieces, nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Saturday, August 17 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave. There will be a funeral on Sunday at 3pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
