Jim Gilliland, 80, of Memphis went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was born in Morley, MO on December 10, 1933 to Charlie and Opal Woods Gilliland. Mr. Gilliland was a member of Range Hills Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from E.L. Bruce and Prest Enterprise. Mr. Gilliland, the loving husband of Lillie Gilliland also leaves two daughters, Cathy (Jerry) Price of Mounds, IL and Sonya Scallon of Memphis; two sons, Wesley (Jeannie) Gilliland also of Mounds, IL and Bill Stephens of Aurora, CO; a sister, Evelyn Estes of Cape Girardeau, MO; four grandchildren, Ty and Dillon Gilliland and Justin and Erin Stephens; and one great granddaughter, Destiney Rowland. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, November 14 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd from 5-8 p.m. A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday morning at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
