Jessie Faye Jackson Thayer age 96 peacefully passed away 12/1/2017.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Chester L. Thayer, Sr. She was a sixth generation Mississippian born 1/29/21 to Roscoe and Bernie Jackson in New Albany Mississippi. She graduated from Macedonia High School in Myrtle, MS as Salutatorian of her class. She was a woman who loved her family and friends. She was an active member of Bartlett United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women’s organization, and the Fun Club.
Jessie Faye is survived by her son, Chester L. Thayer, his wife Jane Thayer (John), grandchildren Shawn Thayer, Ashley Thayer and Shelley Granier; great grandchildren Whitney Walley, Cassidy Walley, and Hunter Granier. Nephews Vic Thayer and Homer Jackson of Orlando Florida; Nieces Linda Jackson Whittington, Joyce Bogue, Charlotte Fleming, Robin Vizena, Cathy Fleming, Dwayne Jackson.
