James Edward “Jim” Flynn, beloved father, loving husband and never ending pursuer of knowledge, passed away from this world on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at the age of 71. Jim devoted his life to a career in Radiology through the Baptist Hospital Network. He lived his life through his love of sports, wine, photography, music, and family. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Jo Ehlers, his mother, Opal Violet Flynn, and his father George Flynn.
Jim is survived by his wife Sheryl (Tegland) Flynn, his daughter Babette (Flynn) Wisdom and her husband Deron Wisdom, his son Ian Flynn and his wife Jordan Flynn, and three grandchildren Elizabeth Wisdom, Mitchell Wisdom, and Ava Flynn. The family will receive friends beginning at 2pm, on Sunday, February 14, with a celebration of Jim’s life to follow at 3pm, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
