Jackie Spain Coleman of Bartlett, TN, 83, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022. Jack was born in Milan, TN on April 16, 1939. He studied Bible at Central Bible College and graduated from Evangel College in 1962. He continued his education to complete his Masters in Education from Memphis State University in 1974. Jack taught high school math and was the Director of Secondary Education for Shelby County Schools.
Jack was a dedicated member, Sunday school teacher and deacon of First Assembly of God Memphis, TN. He was an active member of the choir and tv choir for over 50 years.
Jack leaves his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Coleman and his two sons, Bradley (Marcia) Coleman of Arlington, TN and Dr. Jason Coleman of Germantown, TN. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Taylor, Drew (Felicia) and Hannah Coleman.
Jack was a loving father who dedicated his life wholeheartedly to serving The Lord and his family.
A celebration of life service will be held at First Assembly of God Memphis 8650 Walnut Grove, Cordova, TN 38018 on October 29, 2022. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held following the service at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to First Assembly of God for Speed the Light Missions.
