Gerry Gene Riggins, 75, of Southaven, MS, formerly of Alamo, TN, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 in Southaven. Mr. Riggins was a retired machinist from Memphis Machine Works and Kimberly Clark and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Gray and his father, Manley Cairl Riggins as well as one brother, Jerry Riggins, and one sister, Carol Huey. Mr. Riggins is survived by his wife, Norma Riggins, one son, John Riggins (Nancy), of Avondale, PA, and two daughters, Debra McClain (James), of Nesbit, MS, and Tammy Roberson, of Southaven, MS. He also leaves behind one brother, Tommy Riggins (Ella), of Bedford, TX, one sister, Patsy Poston (Ralph), of Alamo, TN, as well as five grandchildren, Leia Barrett (Ryan), of Pipersville, PA, Jon-Ryan Riggins, of Los Angeles, CA, Josh Bellmard, of Williams, OR, Trey McClain (Jessica), of Olive Branch, MS, and Jesse McClain (Whitney), of Memphis, TN, and four great-grandchildren, Tommy Barrett and Patrick Barrett, of Pipersville, PA, and Madison and Jacob McClain, of Olive Branch, MS. He also leaves, to cherish his memory, many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 12-2pm with the funeral service to follow at 2pm, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
