He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Williams, Sr.
Gene was a devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather, deeply cherished by his family. He was an active community member, passionately supporting the Boy Scouts and St. Jude. Gene eagerly anticipated traveling and spending quality time with his wife during retirement. Tuesday dinners with his mom were a cherished weekly tradition. His infectious positivity shone through his endless dad jokes and his genuine, kind spirit.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Allison Williams; his daughters, Christine Hingle (Cory), Andrea Brown (Justin); grandchildren, Lydia, Sophie, Jordan; his mother, Arlene Williams; and his siblings, Rhonda Thompson (Bob), Scott Williams (Marianne), and Matthew Williams (Carrie).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 19 at Hope Church Chapel, 8500 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova, TN 38018. Visitation will follow the service in the Chapel.
