Gary Lee Shoaf

Mr. Gary Lee Shoaf, age 75, of Bartlett passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at his home. He was born January 7, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Gary was a graduate of Treadwell High School of Memphis and a graduate of the University of Memphis formerly known as Memphis State where he received his bachelor’s degree in business. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Gary was an avid University of Memphis Tigers fan where he enjoyed attending their football and basketball games and had a long career as a family service professional with Memphis Funeral Homes.

Gary is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife of 18 years, Susan Noland Shoaf; son, Talmadge Lee Shoaf of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter, Tiffany Leigh Reed and her husband Dee of Wynne, Arkansas; his grandchildren, which he adored, Emma Marie Shoaf, Noah Christopher Shoaf, Mackenzie Leigh Reed, Lauren Elizabeth Reed and Ella Caroline Reed; step-children, Adam Noland Abernathy and Erica Casann Abernathy; nephews, Rick Lee Sain, Curtis Lee Sain; and niece, Angie Leigh Lofton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Alice Baskin; grandparents, John Talmadge and Roberta Alice Baskin; and sister, Barbara Sain.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett.
