Frank Lee Jones, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025. He was born on September 15, 1939, to Catherine Boone Simpson Jones and Herman Hugh Jones. Frank was raised on a dairy farm alongside his three brothers and sister, where he learned the value of hard work, family, and faith from an early age.
Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He attended Bartlett High School, graduating in 1957, and on June 12, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, Jo Ann Freeman Jones. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three loving children.
A successful businessman, Frank was known for his dedication, integrity, and tireless work ethic. Over the years, he earned numerous awards and accolades, a testament to his commitment and passion for all that he pursued.
Frank’s faith was central to his life. He was a longtime member and deacon of Bartlett Baptist Church, where he served faithfully in many roles, including Chairman of Deacons, Director of the Young Married Department, and Bible Drill Leader. He also made a lasting impact in his community by coaching youth basketball and baseball throughout the years.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jo Ann; his daughter, Tammy Ann Robinson; and his son, Joseph Scott Jones. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Frank Russell “Rusty” Jones.
He leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Megan Ann Robinson, Curtis Russell Robinson, Joseph Andrew Jones, Jacob Alan Jones, Jonathan Alexander Jones, and Sarah Jayne Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Saylor Kate Robinson and Tucker Hayes Robinson, with one more great-grandchild on the way.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Robert Hugh Jones, Stephen Madison Jones, Fred Herman Jones (his twin brother), and Judy Caroline Jones Bell.
Frank will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generosity, his faith, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
