Dylan is preceded in death by his birth-mom, Candie Kay Russell; his grandfather, Johnnie G. Rose Sr.; his grandmother, Iris Anne Bryant; his best friend, Damarion Dashun Hill.
Dylan is survived by his mom, Ashley Bryant Rose and dad, Johnnie G. Rose Jr.; his grandparents, Debra K. Coats, Mary E. Rose, and John A. Bryant II; his aunts and uncles, Cindy and John Cooley, Toni and Timmy Davis; his cousins Kaitlyn Davis, David Cooley (Abby), Mackenzie Cooley (Kayla), Josh Cooley (Kenzie), and Lauren Johnson (Mike); the brother he never had, Josh Gibbs, and countless other close friends that he loved dearly.
Dylan was a bright light in the lives of so many. He lived life to the fullest each and every day. He was a kind and loyal friend to so many; his love knew no boundaries, no color, or economic status. If you knew Dylan, you also knew, he never met a stranger. Dylan was most happy when riding his motorcycle or hanging with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing, kayaking, Memphis rap, cooking, and watching the sunset. Although 19 years was not nearly enough, we are thankful and blessed for all the good times and memories that we share and hold close in our hearts. So, when the days are long and your heart aches and your soul yearns to hear his voice, his laugh, or see that beautiful smile, look up at the sky or to the brightest star in the night sky and know you are not alone. I hope everyone can choose to see the beauty of each new day given and choose to live as Dylan did, with lots of love and endless adventure. “Long Live Dee.”
Dylan was known for his giving heart and often helping the homeless. If you feel called to do so, the family would love donations to be made to the Memphis Union Mission or to Calvary Rescue Mission in Dylan’s name.
