Donna was born on September 23, 1951 in Alexandria, Louisiana, the oldest of two children born to Donald Watson and Mattie Margeline Calton. She completed her diploma at Bolton High School in Alexandria and went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Music Education from North East Louisiana College (University of Louisiana Monroe).
She met her soon to be husband, James Webb, in Alexandria through mutual friends. They married in 1979 living in Monroe until 1989 when they moved to Memphis, Tennessee. In Memphis James worked for Dover Elevators (now ThyssenKrupp) as a software engineer. Donna worked for Howard Brothers in the corporate office in the finance section before becoming a stay at home mom when Carrie was born in 1985. She occasionally substitute taught at S.B.E.C. and then became an afterschool care teacher for Briarcrest Christian Schools. Donna eventually retired when Briarcrest closed their original campus.
Before moving to Memphis, she enjoyed acting & stage management for local theaters in Monroe. When the kids were younger they all did a lot of camping, fishing and traveling with Donna's parents. She was also a Den Mother when Eric was in the Webelos for his local Boy Scout Troop. After retirement she stayed home with Carrie and her two fur babies Sophie & Luna. Mostly she enjoyed her life at home, going to visit family occasionally, discovered Asian Dramas on Netflix, crochet, playing her flute and piano, as well as watching theater and musicals. She also played the hand bells in the handbell group at Ridgeway Baptist Church along with spending a lot of her time with the infants and toddlers in the nursery on Sundays. Finally before her health wouldn't allow her to travel any longer she went on several mission trips for Ridgeway Baptist Church some of those included going to India, Ecuador, and Montana to name a few. Also, her best friend Trisha would travel and take her to other places of interest around the country.
Mrs. Webb has been preceded in death only by her father Donald in 1998 and husband James E. Webb in 2010.
She is survived by her mother, Mattie Childs; children Carrie Webb of Cambridge, Massachusetts and Eric (Jessica) Webb of Bartlett, Tennessee; her brother David Calton, of the greater Birmingham, Alabama area; and her fur babies Luna, grandcat Ganondorf and grandbunny Gilly!
