DONALD R. JOYNER, 69, died October 20, 2012. He was a retired Battalion Chief with the Memphis Fire Department, with 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie Joyner. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, JoAnne; two children, Charles Joyner and Lisa Tate; two sisters, Charlene Smith and Carole Cunningham; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Hughes, Megan Joyner, Zachary Tate, Collin Tate, Hunter Tate, and Daniel Whitaker. Don was a devoted husband, father and papa. Visitation will be Monday evening, October 22, from 5-8 p.m., at Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway. Graveside Services will be Tuesday afternoon, October 23, at 2 p.m., at Memphis Funeral Home Cemetery.
