Donald Hugh Gourley

Donald Hugh Gourley, aged 85 years, 9 months, and 28 days, was born to Hugh Clifton and Zara Hamby Gourley on Bald Knob, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was the husband to Mildred Carpenter Gourley for 46 years. He was father to Donna Gourley Garris (Larry), Russell Gourley (Emily), Adrian Gourley (Terra) and Brian Gourley. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Chris Ring, Cindy Ring, Jesse Gourley, Julianna Gourley, Hunter Gourley, Bryant Mayo, Brandon Mayo, Dalton Gourley and Zarah Gourley. One great granddaughter, Anna Garris Ring. He also leaves behind two sisters, Carol Gourley Luellen and Jane Gourley Rippee. He was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Bill Gourley and Mary Nichols. He was an avid sportsman and loved the great outdoors. In his long life he enjoyed gardening, his hunting dogs, reading a good book, and singing gospel songs. He had a deep abiding love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was retired after 27 years of service from Russell’s Farm Supply-Collierville. In short a gentle and quiet man. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 with a catered reception and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
