He was surrounded by his two sons and close family.
Donald was born in Barberton, Ohio on September 9, 1954. He joined the United States Navy at the age of 19 and served as an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War, earning him the National Defense Service Medal. When he was honorably discharged from the Navy, he was on a mission for success and no one could stop him.
He moved to Memphis, TN in 1982 to start his journey as a businessman.
From the Bodyshops to Home Cable Systems, to The Amish Depot, and a lot of things in between. Donald was a pioneer in the business world. He wore many hats and impacted many different people in a multitude of ways.
He leaves behind "His two boys," William Bishop and Andrew Bishop (Kimberly),
Grandchildren Brayden and Addison Bishop, Sisters Cheryl Jensen and Janice Armenta, Niece Sandy Jensen, Nephew Todd Jensen,
Third wife and mother of his two sons Lena Davie, Brother-in-law and Best Friend Lewis Mason, Stepson Jeff Cook, and Long-time Girlfriend Paula Davis.
A gathering of family and friends for Donald will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
