David A. Zehner

David A. Zehner, 66, of Bartlett passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. He was retired from Memphis Light Gas & Water and Faith Baptist Church where he was a charter member. David loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also loved spending time at the river, was a great friend to everyone, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. David was preceded in death by his father, Joe Zehner; and sister, Barbara Leatherwood. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie Zehner; daughter, Ashley Phillips (Mickey) of Bartlett; son, Jeff Zehner (Micah) of Bartlett; mother, Reba Zehner of Bartlett; grandchildren, Bryar Zehner, Zane Phillips, Avery Zehner, Tate Phillips and Wade Phillips; brother, Joey Zehner of Toone, TN; sisters, Sandra Brown of Eads, TN and Kathy Richardson of Munford, TN; mother-in-law, Faye Thompson of Lakeland, TN; brother-in-laws, Ron Thompson of Lakeland, TN and Phil Thompson of Bartlett, TN; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Faith Baptist Church Recreation Fund.
