Clayton Coleman Kirk

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clayton Coleman Kirk, age 82, after a 5yr battle with lung cancer. Clayton was born at his home in Huntingdon, TN on August 1, 1942, to William Edward Kirk and Mary Laverne Kirk (Hill).

When Clayton was 4yrs old, the family moved to the Memphis area, where he grew up and began his career in construction. Clayton was a loving husband to Nancy for 64yrs. Nancy and Clayton met on March 8, 1958 at church when Clayton attended with a friend. They married on October 22, 1960. They raised 3 daughters, Cindy Burks (Tony) of Parker, CO, Elisa Bell of Somerville, TN, and Rhonda Jones Monasco (Johnny) of Millington, TN. He is survived by his brother, Gary D. Kirk (Janie). His 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren (Candace, Kristin, Kassidy, Mary, Chloé, Colton & Caroline). Three great grandchildren (Emma, Madelyn & Graham). He enjoyed spending time with family camping and boating. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

A visitation for Clayton will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.The graveside service will occur Monday, April 21, 2025 12:30 PM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
