Claude Latham, 80, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away at his home on August 13, 2011. He was a retired District Chief of the Memphis Fire Department, and a Korean War Veteran where he attained the rank of Sgt. First Class in the United States Army. Mr. Latham was a tireless worker and devoted family man who from early youth set out spending his life in service of others. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Margie Latham; a sister, Margaret Long of Sardis, MS; three children, Ricky Latham of Bartlett, Don Latham of Bartlett, and Pam Reece of Somerville; seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 16 at 12:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home on N. Germantown Road. Charitable donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
