Charles Curtis Ritchie, Jr., 66, of Bartlett, TN went to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 22, 2020. He was the pastor of Agape Baptist Church-Memphis, TN for 31 years and served the Lord through a nationwide concert ministry. His outstanding musical talent encompassed composition, arrangement and production of scripture songs on both piano and organ. In addition to his concert ministry he played the organ on many national level horse shows around the country since 2002.
Bro. Ritchie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jackie Fowler Ritchie; daughters, Tara Ritchie Tanner (Justin) of Whiteville, TN and Charlotte Ritchie Stewart (Chad) of Arlington, TN; sisters, Sharon Ritchie James (Carl) of New Market, AL and Emily Ritchie Dixon (David) of Eads, TN; brother, Dan Ritchie (Susan) of Atoka, TN; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Ritchie; and daughter, Rebecca Lynne Ritchie.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Agape Baptist Church, 5156 Raleigh Lagrange Rd., Memphis, TN for family and current church members, as space is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.
