Charles E. Purtle, 77, of Drasco, AR, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was a member of the former Sky Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Purtle, the widower of Shirley A. Purtle is survived by a son, Michael (Donna) Purtle of Southaven, MS; two daughters, Sharon Erickson of Rancho Cordova, CA and Deborah Bohne of Waxahachie, TX; sister, Martha Forrester of Heber Springs; brother, Terry Purtle of Huntsville, AL; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a step son, Richard Brown of Plano, TX. The family will receive friends tonight, Saturday, September 19 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
