Charles was raised by his late father, Elzie Hatten, and when he was 18, he met and married his late wife, Ruby Hatten where she blessed him with a son, Charles Clifton Hatten (Kathy).
He was an over the road truck driver for over 50 years to provide for his family retiring from Yellow Roadway.
He was appointed Captain of the TN Trucking Association, and participated as the judge in TN and MS tracking rodeos.
Charles always jokingly stated he “will have a long parade in Heaven for all the good things he did for his wife, Ruby”
He always put God first.
His proudest achievement was the birth of his granddaughter, Emily Gail Hatten in 2008 along with two grandsons Trevor and Cody.
Visitation for Charles will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens (3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133.)
Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens with the graveside to follow.
