Byron Eugene Nestler, 66, of Cordova TN, passed away on December 7, 2014 at 9:17pm at home with his family at his side. Born July 13, 1948 to Joy and Eugene Nestler, Byron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Nestler, three children, Sheila, David and Kerry Nestler, four grand children Taylor, Kyle, Conner and Cora. Byron dedicated much of his time to the Knights of Columbus serving his community and surrounding areas with the Fourth Degree Knights, while also sitting on the K of C board for the MR Foundation building homes for those mentally challenged. When he was not devoting his time to his family or community, you would often find him on a golf course or out at Horseshoe lake casting a line early in the mornings. Most will remember Byron by his dry sense of humor, telling jokes just to get a reaction from whomever he was chatting with. All that knew him have commented over and over again on his selflessness and devotion to making a difference in his community. Throughout his life, he did what he could to help others and make the world a better place to live in. As well as building relationships and friendships through the St. Francis of Assisi parish in Cordova, all of his clients grew to know and love Byron like family. He always took pride in his work as a CPA and his consulting business System Concepts, putting his clients and friends needs ahead of his own. The family is grateful for the all of the sympathy and respect shown for him. It was Byron’s wishes that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.themmrf.org/donate-to-mmrf/) or to the St. Francis Church Building Fund at: St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 8151 Chimneyrock Blvd. Cordova, TN 38016
