Bobbie Ruth (Moody) Gresham, lovingly known as Nannie, was born on November 4, 1932 in Ashland, MS. She grew up alongside her future loving husband, Edward Johnson Gresham, going to school together since grade school through high school (grades 1-12). They graduated together from Ashland High School in 1952 and married 2 years later on April 10, 1954. They welcomed their first baby girl, Lana Kay, on May 12, 1955 and their second daughter, Karen Ruth, on June 19, 1958.
Bobbie & Ed have been faithful members of Bartlett Baptist Church for over 30 years. Bobbie retired from Sears Roebuck with over 30 years of service.
Bobbie Ruth "Nannie" was the family matriarch. She was beloved by everyone who knew her. She was loved by her immediate family, her Church family, Sears friends and co-workers & all of her U of M Tiger Rebounders and friends within the Memphis Athletic dept.
Everything in our family happens at Nannie's house. Nannie hosted Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Breakfast on Christmas Day and all family events throughout the year. Her home was always open for family and friends to come and gather. You would always catch her watching Sports Channel or Memphis State/University of Memphis Basketball and Football if they were playing on TV.
Greeting her at Heaven's gates are her parents, Robert and Ruth Moody. She is survived by her spouse of 70 years, Edward Gresham, her sisters Clarice (Billy) Scott and Mary Beth (Bobby, deceased) Autry, her daughters Lana Kay (Floyd) Smith and Karen (Craig) Elliott, Grandchildren Heather (Grant) Sanders, Brandie Elliott, Erika (Bert Suggs, fiance) Smith, Amber (Dustin) Wilson, Thomas (Elaine) Elliott, Nathan Elliott and Asa Elliott, Great-Grandchildren Kiele Sanders, Kale Sanders, Presley Randolph, Liam Elliott.
