Austin "Aubie" James Spicer, 16, of Arlington, TN, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 28, 2016. He and his twin brother, Clayton Andrew were born April 14, 1999 in Lancaster, PA. to Brandon Spicer and Jennifer Spicer (Vinson). He was a Sophomore at Arlington High School, where he was played defense, #33, for the football team. Austin also loved wrestling, he was a member of the Arlington Middle School wrestling team where his father helped coach. Austin was a dedicated fan to his Ole Miss Rebels, and from the age of one to 16 he never missed attending a home game with his family. His Rebels were second only to his family and friends, he took every opportunity to tell them how much he loved them and bring a smile to their face. Every person he met became important to him. He may have been a 6ft tall larger than life teenager, but he always made time to play with his little sister, Lilli Jane, and his little cousins. His favorite saying was, "Where's my hug?".
Austin is survived by his parents Brandon Spicer of Arlington, TN and Jennifer Spicer of Cordova, TN; his twin brother Clayton Andrew and his 5 year old little sister Lilli Jane. Austin's immediate family also includes his step-mother Alicia Brown and her daughter Hailey, as well as Jennifer's step-daughter, Lauren Williams. He also leaves his paternal "Nana", Donna Roberts; and his maternal grandparents Doug Vinson and Sharon Szewczuk. He is survived by many aunts and uncles and great aunts and uncles, as well as 23 cousins. He is also survived by countless friends, especially the "Goon Squad" who he considered his brothers. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Spicer who we know was waiting to welcome him with open arms.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1st from 5-7 pm, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN, 38133. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 2nd at Bellevue Baptist Church, in the Pollard Chapel, 2000 Appling Rd, Cordova, TN, 38016 with interment to follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
