Audrey Ann Garrett White, 73, of Lakeland, TN, went to be with her Savior on May 7, 2016. She was the daughter of Mildred Jean Nearn and Warren C. Garrett. She was born March 14, 1943 in Halls, TN. She grew up in Memphis and attended Treadwell High School, graduating in 1962. She worked at Kellogg’s in the Human Resources Department as the Benefits Coordinator where she worked for 28 years. She attended Brunswick Baptist Church and was active in the Treadwell Reunion Committee and the Kellogg’s Retiree monthly luncheons. She loved watching her son play competitive soccer, even chaperoning the team to Europe to watch him play. She gave so much love and devotion in all aspects of her life and she will be greatly missed. She leaves a husband of 50 years, Phillip White, of Lakeland, TN. She leaves two children, Jené Smith (Art) of Oxford, MS and Tommy White (Lauren) of Arlington, TN. She leaves four beloved grandchildren who were the light of her life and spent her last few years spending every minute that she could with them. She leaves a sister, Jeannette Garrett, of Olive Branch, MS as well as a niece, Wendy Morrow (Chod) and a nephew, Troy Garrett, both of Wichita, KS. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from five until seven o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. A funeral service will be held at the same location the following day at two o’clock with internment following at Memphis Memory Gardens.
