Anna Ruth Rogan Brown, 91, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in her Memphis home. Mrs. Brown was a 1938 graduate of Humes High School. She was a homemaker and attended St. Matthews United Methodist Church for over 50 years before moving to Mullins United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Lee Brown. Surviving is her daughter, Barbara Lee Brown Southwell, son-in-law, Tom Southwell, two grandchildren, Reginald Dewayne Reed, and Rodney L. Reed, and his wife, Raven, four great grandchildren, Cartier Ballinger, Rodney L. Reed, Jr. Cristan R. Reed, and Kaycee J. Reed. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett on Friday, October 21 from 5 – 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens – Bartlett on Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens.
