Andrew E. Rogers, Jr. age 93, was born on December 1, 1928 to the union of Andrew Rogers, Sr. and Sue Adams Rogers in Mason, TN. Where Andy accepted Christ at an early age, and remained a faithful servant his entire life, growing closer to the Lord as each year passed. Along with his faith he loved to play the guitar and sing Bluegrass and Gospel music for his friends. After graduation he married Doris Young and shortly after was drafted into the United States Army. He served as a medic during the Korean War. After returning he became a father to Ginger A. Rogers. He would later work for the United States Postal Service where he was an electrical maintenance technician. During this time he lost Doris Rogers after a long illness. And later the Lord blessed him by sending Anna Gardner in his life to be his bride. And would eventually retire from the United States Postal Service. Andy and Ann would enjoy 35 years of a loving marriage that was Lord blessed. They would worship the Lord at Hartland Baptist Church for many years. Andy and Anna have been members of Keeling Baptist Church for over 10 years now.
Andrew departed this life on Tuesday August 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew E. Rogers, Sr. and his mother Sue Adams Rogers. As well as his sister, Imogene Rogers Wade. He leaves behind his loving wife Anna O’Neal Rogers, a brother Harold Rogers. He also leaves his daughter Ginger Ann Rogers Russell (Andy), a son Jeffery Gardner (Sara), four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Often asked what his favorite Bible verse was, his answer: I don’t have one, I love the whole bible.

A funeral service for Andrew will be held Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A visitation will occur Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
