Alice was born on April 15, 1938 in Olean, New York. She grew up in nearby in Bradford, PA where she made lifelong friends and started her family. After several moves, Alice and her family settled in Germantown, TN where she resided until her passing.
Alice loved college basketball and football, especially cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Auburn Tigers. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Alice had a special affinity for animals, especially dogs, cats and horses. However, the joy of her life were her children and grandchildren Katy, T.J. and Tanner. She delighted in spending time with them and celebrated all their accomplishments big and small.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husbands Tom Kroh and Jim McGowan, and brothers Joe Parks and Pat Parks. She is survived by her children Susan (Art) Williams, Tom (Karen) Kroh, Jamie (Scotty) Jones, and grandchildren Katy Williams, T. J. (Shannon) Kroh, and Tanner Jones.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Living the Life Animal Rescue or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
A visitation for Alice will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 21, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Friday, July 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
