Joey had a tremendous love for the outdoors; he was an avid hunter, and enjoyed the beach or any body of water he could find. He is remembered fondly for his storytelling abilities, and his prankster habits to those he didn’t know well. Being the life of the party, he never met a stranger. He was caring, positive, funny, bright, and was loved by everyone.
His biggest achievement in life was his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who could put a smile on anyone’s face.
Joey is preceded in death by his father, Albert Miller Van Natta II; sister, Michelle Van Natta; and brother, Michael Van Natta.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Van Natta; daughter, Amber Strickland (Chris); grandchildren, Adley Strickland and Miller Strickland; mother, Shirley (Allen) Van Natta; and, stepdaughter, Jessica Rando (Adam).
