Wilma Jean Aguayo, age 91 of Barstow, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2023. She passed away peacefully in Apple Valley, California. Mom was born on November 3, 1932, in Bonny Blue, Virginia. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jesse C. Aguayo, her parents E.L. and Vivian Seeber, sisters Nancy Bledsoe, Gail Seeber and brother Buddy Seeber.
Wilma is survived by her son, Jesse R (Rick) Aguayo, daughter-in-law Susan Aguayo, grandsons Matthew, Andrew, and Michael Aguayo, and wife Vahnessa Aguayo. Great-grandchildren Alauna, Angel, Tristan, Madalynn, and Aubree Aguayo. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable and will continue to live on in their hearts.
An avid quilter, Mom's talent was recognized at the San Bernardino County Fair, where she won various ribbons. Her work also gained national recognition in a quilting magazine, a testament to her skill and dedication to her craft. She lived a life filled with love and creativity.
A Celebration of Life for Wilma will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at St Joseph's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, followed by a Mass at 10 AM. Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery, Barstow, California.
Wilma's memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and dedication will continue to inspire those she left behind. Rest in peace Mom.
