Thelma (Cookie) Canterbury went to be with Jesus on December 31, 2020. Cookie is survived by her daughter Cyndi (Doug) Reeves and son Charles Canterbury, grandsons John (Carly) Gilmore, Jacob (Paige) Gilmore, and Robert Gilmore. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren.
Cookie was born in New Mexico in 1941, her family moved to Needles when she was 2 yrs old. She later moved to Barstow as a young mother. She spent several years working in a local medical office before going to work at the Marine Base where she worked until retiring. Cookie attended Calvary Chapel Church regularly until she was not able to. She was very much loved by her family and was a blessing to us. She will be in our hearts until we see her again.
A graveside goodbye was held in Needles with her family on January 15, 2021.
