Nancy Zamora
July 15, 1937 to December 18, 2020
Nancy was born July 15, 1937, in La Joya New Mexico to David and Mary Trujillo. She attended local schools and graduated form Barstow Union High school in 1956. After graduating High school, she and her friends would go to Grange Hall in Hinkley for the dances during the summer. It was there she met a young Marine, the love of her life Richard R. Zamora Sr. Nancy and Richard were married for 43 years. During their union they had 4 sons Rick, Ronny, Danny and Bobby. She loved being the mother of boys. You would hear them say they were her “favorite” and were “spoiled”. She made it a point to raise and nurture them as individuals. As the boys were growing up Richard became involved in Little League as a coach for the Angels. It was important for her to be out there in the field or dugout supporting her sons as well as her beloved Richard.
Nancy could accomplish anything she set her mind to from cooking, decorating and shopping while working full time at Calico Print Shop for 25 years.
Her interest included family first, going to Las Vegas with her sisters, playing cards with her granddaughter Nicole, watching her soap operas and going to church. Her faith was important to her. She loved going for daily rides in her car around town. In her later years she devoted her time and energy caring for her family.

Moments to remember:
By Richard R. Zamora Jr.; Some of mom’s favorite things to do was going to Las Vegas with her sisters Linda, Ella and brother-in-law Ernie, and her son Rick and Maria. She loved to visit her sister Linda in Lone Pine where they would go to the Indian casinos, from Bishop to Carson Valley and enjoyed watching old western movies. My mom would plan trips all over from up North San Francisco, to the coast, to Las Vegas and to New Mexico. My mom cherished her different shared times spent with her boys and their families. She loved to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball especially at the Richard R. Zamora baseball field. I love you Mom.
Deanna Zamora (granddaughter) I have so many memories that I truly cherished with my Grandma. She was so supportive and always there for every holiday, birthday, sport games, and every special occasion. I loved when I was younger spending the night with grandma and grandpa Richard, she would always let me use her night gown because I always forgot my PJs. I also loved when growing up playing cards with the whole family. Grandma would always have lemon cake (Grandpa Richards favorite) or something sweet to eat while we played. And my favorite is when she would cook breakfast with her red chili. It’s the little things I remember. I miss her already so much but it makes my heart happy that she is reunited with Grandpa. I love you Grandma
By Ronald Zamora; I have so many memories of my mom from being a young kid and her sending me to the grocery store on my bike with an empty backpack and an extra .11 cents for me to buy a soda. When we were young, she would wake us up so we could begin our paper route of course she had the newspapers rolled and we would jump in the back of the station wagon with the window down and toss them. On school days she would pop toast to our hearts content and would always warm my milk with Cheerios. My mom helped me to get my first job at 16. Throughout my life she has been my rock, my confidant and my 8:00 a.m. coffee partner for the last 35 years. She loved her family. When I met Bobbie and she became pregnant my mom made sure we had what we needed. As our family grew, she was there every step of the way. My mom had a special bond with my daughter Nicole. There were times I would follow them in the car and would become nervous because my daughter was the eyes and she was the driver they made a great team! I am a blessed man for the unconditional love she showed me and the things she taught me. She always looked for the good in people and was always willing to help out wherever she could. The love and commitment she had for her family was priceless. I’m going to miss her a lot but am grateful to God that she was active in my life until the day God took her home. I love you mom, until we meet again.
By Daniel L. Zamora; bringing my wife Cathy, daughters Daniella and Jayhan home from the Philippines made my mom overjoyed and fulfilled. For me it was a great accomplishment to come home from Kuwait and pay off my house. My mom
and I took care of each other the remainder of her life, it was a feeling of great security for her and me as well. My mom and I lived together for 54 years and one of her greatest joys was when I turned my life around to stay clean and sober. Mom was so happy when I would drive her around town just to go to the bank, store, fast food or anywhere, Las Vegas or take food to her brother Louie. My wife arrived in March 2019 and instantly my mom had a daughter to care for her. The bond between my mom and my daughters was special. Cathy would treat my mom like she was a queen, making her food, cutting her hair, giving her weekly mani/pedi treatments, checking her blood sugar levels and so much more. My mom was so happy to bring gifts to my wife Cathy, Daniella and Jayhan. Mom had great joy in keeping us happy and loving us, and we loved her as well. Rest in peace mom.
Nancy was Preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard R. Zamora Sr., her son Robert Zamora, parents David and Mary Trujillo, brothers David Jr., and Floyd Trujillo, Mother-in-law Ninfa Speronelli, Brother-in-law Ray Puckett and grandson Raymond Garcia.
It brings her family comfort knowing she is the arms of Jesus and is reunited with her husband and loved ones.
