He was born to parents Juan and Josephine Padilla, on September 30, 1958, in Barstow, California. Juan graduated from Barstow High School in 1976. He was married to Theresa, the love of his life, in 1986, who survives him. He retired from San Bernardino County after 28 years of service. Juan truly lived a fruitful life through spending quality time with family and friends, spoiling his grandsons, attending many baseball games, serving in various church ministries, and satisfying many with his famous green chili. Juan had a knack for bringing the family together for holidays as well as making others laugh.
Juan is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Carlos and Chung, as well as his grandsons, Abel and Benjamin; sister Genevieve Navarro; nephews Arthur, Jose, Eric, and Garrett; nieces Lara, Margarita, Christina, and Kara; in-laws Janet and husband Greg and Lisa; and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Juan and Josephine Padilla, and sister Juanita Arnaiz.
Services for Juan will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 505 E Mountain View Street in Barstow. The rosary will be at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM.
