Charlie entered this life February 11, 1948; entered eternal life June 8, 2024, at 75 years of age. He served his country in the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed music and made a living playing his guitar and singing. He resided at the Veteran's Home in Barstow since 2006 and enjoyed the many veterans, and especially flirting with the women staff! He really enjoyed nature, a good game of Scrabble, playing Solitaire online, and a good game of Chess! In hopes of seeing Charles again, he came to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior shortly after hurricane Katrina left him in great need.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father, (Charles G. Ross); and his mother, (Evelyn V. Ross); both of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also preceded in death by his brother, (John G. Ross), of Tulare, CA.
His surviving siblings are Shannon Roberts of Cumming, GA and Tracy Ross of Bellefontaine, OH. (with several nieces and nephews)
Charles has 2 children: Amy Childers of Conroe, TX, and Charles Ross II of Biloxi, MS.
His life was shortened by Parkinson's.
On August 7, 2024 at noon, a service celebrating his life, with full military honors, will be held at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
