Mike Szewczuk

September 19, 1932 – December 25, 2011

Mr. Mike Szewczuk, late of Barrhead, AB passed away peacefully on December 25, 2011 at the age of 79 years after a short, but strong battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving family; his children, Michael (Lindsay) Szewczuk of Red Deer, AB and Karen (Rob) Shackleton of Edmonton, AB; three grandchildren, Emillie, Zachary, and Callen Shackleton; two sisters, Lily Barton and Stefania Zylinski; sister-in-law, Jadwiga Szewczuk; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Mike is predeceased by his wife, Eugenia; sister, Edna Hoyne; brothers, Jess and Bill Szewczuk. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 4, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Barrhead, AB.
