We announce the passing of Mrs. Lydia Martin, late of Barrhead, formerly of Germany, on December 12th, 2013 at the age of 103 years. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Hilda (Henry) Middendorf of Barrhead, AB, son Kurt (Betty) Martin of Barrhead, AB, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Lydia was predeceased by her husband August Martin, her parents Wilhelmine and Samuel Armbrust, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th, 2013 at 1:00 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kevin Ree officiating. A Private Burial will take place earlier in the morning at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Keir Care Centre or to St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
