John was born in rural Alberta on July 1, 1947 to Thomas and (Hazel) Edna Davidson. He spent his early adult years moving around Alberta and out to Vancouver, B.C. , before settling in the Onoway/Gunn area. In January 2004 John moved to Barrhead and made it his home. While here he worked as a camp attendant at Rotary Park and for the Co-op. John was a gentle man who loved spending time with children and babies, as they would bring a huge smile to his face. John loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed drives in the country where he would point out the horses, cows, geese and all the other critters he would see.Cats and dogs were very special to John and he lovingly referred to them all as 'his babies'. John was predeceased by his cat Sammi.
John was a huge part of the Blue Heron family who he kept entertained by his wiggling ears and goofy faces, as well as sneaking up and giving a scare or two.
He will be greatly missed and is leaving a big hole in the hearts of many.
Service to be held at a later date.
