Beverley Rose Adams (Sibbett), loving wife of Stuart Samuel Adams and loving mother of three children, Richard Stuart Adams, Stuart Lawrence Adams and Sherri Lynn Adams passed away peacefully in Barrhead, Alberta on March 10th, 2023 at the age of 82. She was also the loving grandmother of six grandchildren, Samantha, Brittani, Stuart (P.J), Joshua, Stephanie, Krystal and the loving great grandmother of five great grandchildren, Cori, Laura, Audrey, Max and Everett.
Beverley came from a family of 2 sisters and 1 brother. She was predeceased by her parents Cameron and Mary Lee Sibbett (Roberts), her sister Carol Spiers (Sibbett), her son Richard and her husband Stuart. Her sister Janet Smith (Sibbett) currently lives in Simcoe, Ontario and her brother Doug Sibbett currently lives in Port Dover, Ontario.
As a daughter, Beverley inherited a green thumb from her parents. Wherever she lived her flower gardens were amazingly beautiful. She also loved to create spring, summer and fall centerpieces, often composed of natural flowers and plants. Beverley was a very creative person, who loved to work with her hands.
As a sister, Beverley loved her siblings as much as she loved her flowers. One could feel the bond between the four of them, especially when they got together for Thanksgiving, Christmas or a Family Reunion.
As a mother, Beverley always made sure her children were clean, well-dressed and had full-bellies. She loved her food and our fridge was always full. Those close to her raved about her cooking, baking and canning. As children, we remember her awesome lasagna, chicken pot pie, apple dumplings (with caramel sauce), scones (with homemade jam), Christmas goodies, crock pickles, cucumber relish, peaches and pears. We remember how important Christmas was for her and all the Christmas cookies she made for our classmates over the years, often coming to our classes to help the children with the decorating. She also, for many years, filled Christmas shoe boxes for children less fortunate than her own.
As an aunt, her nieces and nephews would often comment on how warm and inviting our home was and how much they loved her pies, squares, butter tarts and scones (with jam), that would always be waiting for them when they arrived.
As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Beverley loved getting and giving hugs and spending time with them playing euchre or cribbage. She enjoyed watching them dance and figure skate. As with her own children, she always made sure her grandchildren and great grandchildren were clean, well-dressed and had full-bellies.
As a wife, from the day they made their vows together, to the day she passed away, she loved for husband. Like Stuart, she enjoyed snuggling with him, holding his hand and resting her head on his shoulder.
Together, Beverley and Stuart spent a lot of time travelling, often on their own, sometimes with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but occasionally with other relatives and even with friends. It can be easily stated that she will be missed by everyone she touched.
